Neighborhood Information on Cameron Village in Raleigh, NC
Cameron Village is a master planned community located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
This highly desirable neighborhood was first established in the 1940s by J.W. York and B.A. Bryon.
The pair purchased 158 acres of undeveloped land in order to develop a village. According to their plans, this village would consist of a shopping center, apartments and single family homes.
About 10 years after the initial purchase, the pair developed the Cameron Village Shopping center, which only added to the community’s allure.
By 1950, Cameron Village had 65 stores, a movie theater, 100 professional offices and more than 600 homes and apartments!

Raleigh Homes for Sale
Many of the homes in Cameron Village resemble ranch style homes. Although these homes were built in the 1940s, many of them feature modern upgrades inside and out.
Residents also enjoy easy access to the 100 plus stores that now comprise the Cameron Village shopping center. These one-of-a-kind stores and restaurants include:

- Home furnishing stores
- Exotic restaurants
- A luxury spa

In addition, Cameron Village recently teamed up with the North Carolina Museum of Art to create the Cameron Canvas. The new venue – located above Jolie Day Spa - displays the works of renowned artists in the area.
